The History of BDT

Birmingham Dance Theatre has been serving the local community since 1957. The History of Birmingham Dance Theatre The original locations for Nora Nash Dance Studios in Birmingham were Midfield, Vinesville, Central Park. It was then moved to Vestavia at Park South Plaza in 1974. In 1984, under the leadership of Nora Nash and direction of Joni Nash, the studio was incorporated and the studio took on the new name, Birmingham Dance Theatre, Inc. In 2002, BDT took new residency in the former CourtSouth Building where it is proudly located today and is now the Birmingham Dance Theatre building. Soon, we'll be adding pictures from the former Nora Nash Dance and Performing Arts Studio.
