What I want to see in a student when very young is for them to enjoy their dance classes and to show potentiality that they love it. Then as time goes on, they form a true passion for dance. This is where the discipline and desire begin to take over. You cannot be lazy and if you want to be a dancer, it's a lot of hard work and you have to make sacrifices. I have trained dancers for 39 years and have former students who have moved on to pursue careers in dance as well as many others with careers other than dance all over the world. To grow up training in a dance studio and to have the desire to be a well trained dancer will give students time management skills, most times it will improve their grades, and teach them life lessons that can never be forgotten!
